People are so stupid that they are blind to jihad happening on their doorsteps .

Just look at murderers , assaults , intimidation , terrorists attacks in name of Islam is happening around the world.

The whole system is brushing this under the carpet 🤬🤬

Now we are electing politicians who support these jihadis.

Saying anything against them gets you a label of far right , Nazi , islamophobic etc

I’m the last person on Substack who’d poo-poo the threat described here. But “global jihad” implies a degree of unanimity that Islam seems unlikely to achieve. What we confront, I believe, is not so much a unified ideological front but a disorderly rabble, with some goals in common but also many conflicting ambitions. Just as pan-Arabism proved to be a mirage in days gone by, pan-Islamist is likely to exhibit numerous fissures that are ripe for exploitation. For instance, how many Arab countries are willing to make real sacrifices for their Palestinian brethrens?

That was exactly my point - I guess i was not clear enough. the "Global Jihad" we are facing is in fact multi-faceted. It will be Islam vs West, Sunni vs Shiite, Arab vs non-Arab - and not only in the middle east. We are seeing that today already with small and not so small terrorist groups in Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, the entire middle east and soon to be Europe. And each may have a state actor to egg them on.

This will not be a war against a unified enemy but a much more difficult one where the free peoples (and even the not free) will face enemies on multiple fronts.

Could we be in the middle of something that started over 1400 years ago?

That is quite a long view. But nothing was or is inevitable.

I'm thinking of starting a poll on X: Which significant European cultural landmark will be the first to be turned into a mosque? I figure that, after the Olympic spectacle, France is on track for a chastisement -a Babylonian Captivity, if you will. A couple of minarets added to the Louvre won't hurt the aesthetics too much. Good thing for the remaining Christians that Paris has plenty of catacombs . . .
