Regarding aid - there are enough stores to last for awhile - famine can be prevented by allowing women and children into "hamas-free zones" - something that should have been done from the start.
US support seems certain with Trump, but long-term is a gamble. So Israel must take initiatives while they can and cement them in place, making their position Democrat-proof, as much as possible.
