In the never ending quest to blame Israel first and to treat Hamas as a legitimate group we continue counting trucks and negotiating to leave them in power. Record levels of aid trucks have entered Gaza since the scapegoating of the two IDF officers and this is the situation we are in:
Here is a summary and some quotes that come from anonymous Palestinian bloggers living in Gaza.
I follow a Telegram channel called “Ha’olam Ha’aravi 301” in which they bring in Hebrew translation reports from the Arab press and social media. They are a team of Israeli Arabists and from what I understand from others they are quite accurate in their reports.
Here, from last night:
A Gazan woman is quoted as cursing Hamas for throwing out food that Hamas commandeered from the humanitarian aid given by the West and let in by Israel. According to this woman, meat dishes as well as bottles of water are thrown out rather than distributed.
If you ask why would they do that, the next social media post quoted explains why. This is from a man associated with the Fatah group (Abus Mazen’s faction) who says this (I am translating from the Hebrew which is a translation from the Arabic):
Hamas traitors, may Allah curse them, commandeer the aid trucks and they put them in storage. They sell the aid at inflated prices and also dump large amounts of food and other items to the trash due to the very large amounts of food and other items that their officers take – mostly from Rafah via the Israeli Kerem Shalom crossing.
The Americans and the other countries are angry at Israel regarding food aid to the Gaza strip when in actuality Hamas people are throwing large amounts of food to the trash.
We wrote a week ago (The Killing of the 7 Aid Workers) blaming the Western and Israeli leaders and not the officers who called in the strike that killed the workers, due to the “international community” openly allowing Hamas to commandeer all the aid all the while crying over the alleged “famine” that is taking place in Gaza. The West and President Biden most of all, are responsible for any starvation and suffering of the Gazans since they have encouraged and empowered Hamas to control the foodstuffs entering Gaza and the narrative concerning Gazan civilians. The only thing that seems to matter is the number of trucks that pass the border. If it goes to Hamas terrorists or is sold by Hamas to the public for exorbitant prices or if it just goes to the garbage does not seem to matter to Biden or Blinken.
As long as the West can scapegoat Israel for any suffering and always let Hamas off the hook, all is fine with their warped moral compass.
Israel’s only blame for this is in not being aggressive enough against Hamas. After seeing all the destruction, you would think otherwise but the fact remains that many hundreds if not thousands of Hamas terrorists are left alive due to Israel’s overly restrictive rules of engagement. This is due to a combination of Biden-Blinken pressure and the excessive influence the global left has on Israel’s all too many Davos Generals and government Ministers (credit to my oldest son for this one).
Solution for the freedom of whatever hostages are still alive: Destruction of Hamas
Solution for the proper burial of those hostages who were murdered and are still held in captivity: Destruction of Hamas
Solution for the suffering of Gazan women and children: Destruction of Hamas
If the goal of the US, the West in general and Israel is a solution to these problems then they will all stop pretending that Hamas is a legitimate organization that can be dealt with. They must understand that Hamas can no longer exist. Qatar must either jail the Hamas leaders living in luxury there or extradite them to the US or Israel. The money that they and other Hamas leaders have must be confiscated and a global effort must be made to defund and shut down their terrorist and criminal activities.
There are many practical solutions to all these problems, but counting trucks is not one of them.
I don’t buy the idea that Hamas is an idea and therefore can’t be eradicated. Naziism was and still is an “idea” but Nazi power was eradicated. There was no compromise with them and there ought to be no compromise with Hamas.
If in the past it was determined that it wasn’t “prudent” to destroy them, that can no longer be the case. This is an opportunity for Israel and the rest of the civilized world (and not only the free Western world) to destroy Hamas the entity no matter that their “idea” will exist. Cruel, nihilistic, genocidal ideas will always exist – we just have to make sure that the people who hold them have neither guns nor money nor a place to rest.
Instead of doing that we are busy counting trucks.
Letting Hamas exist as anything other than an idea after this, will be, in a Hebrew phrase “bechiya l’dorot” (בכיה לדורות) – literally “tears for generations” – essentially, everlasting regret for letting evil defeat us. We will never be able to live this down.
The choice is between useless virtue signaling and the elimination of one more home to evil and cruelty.
"In the never ending quest to blame Israel first and to treat Hamas as a legitimate group"
The source of the problem.
Did Bibi make it clear to Biden that this is no longer operative?
We don't know - we're not privy to what goes on in the upper reaches of the power game.
Maybe he should have made it public.
Maybe he did in Israel - did he?
I know he said Israel was going to smash Hamas militarily - but then turning around & negotiating with the very entity you claim you're going to destroy is... weird, no?
PS I'm not clear whether this, in italics, is you or a translation of a Gazan: "The Americans and the other countries are angry at Israel regarding food aid to the Gaza strip when in actuality Hamas people are throwing large amounts of food to the trash.")
Counting Trucks for his besties
